About Camberley Driving School
Camberley Driving School was established in 2007, and is run solely by one proprietor, Michael Walter. Mike has many years of experience in the driving industry, much of it acquired during his years as a transport & distribution manager - which he transferred to the operation of his first driving school, 'Michae L Walter Driver Training'. Having achieved success in this venture, Mike grew the business into a local area school with the goal of becoming the most reputable driver training organisation in the area. Mike held DVSA's previous highest teaching grade (6) and still holds their current highest grade (A).
Camberley Driving School Ethos
To provide local, 100% reliable, no-nonsense and efficient driving tuition for anyone seeking any kind of driver training. The school operates a simple economic structure of payment for tuition, and in return, endeavours to maintain the very best service to our pupils at all times. This incorporates our promise to our students, we will constantly monitor our performance and apply the principles of CPD, to ensure our standards of teaching and business practice remain consistently high.
DVSA Standards Check
The Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) continually review better ways of monitoring and developing the performance of all Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). They periodically evaluate instructors by accompanying them during an actual driving lesson with a pupil to access their overall performance. In order to legally remain a driving instructor, all must pass this standards check; failure to do so may lead to an instructor losing their ADI certification. Camberley Driving School is proud to have held and continues to hold the DVSA's highest grade, A.
The CDS Car
Our driver training tuition vehicle is replaced approximately every two years to ensure the teaching always takes place in a modern and reliable car. Our main teaching vehicle is currently a manual 5-door Hyundai i20 hatchback, but we have also used VW Polos, Vauxhall Corsas, and Renault Clios, all being some of the most popular for learners and utilised by many driving schools. As you would expect, all our vehicles include the usual requirements of a comfortable drive, including an adjustable steering column, air-conditioning, plus driver/front passenger airbags and fitted dual controls for increased safety.
